the far end of the Market Place (opposite end to the Town Hall), the Sun
was completely renovated internally. It's now a number of rooms, where
pine and oak fittings give the place a warm and friendly atmosphere. Facilities

a break from shopping and call at the Miltons Head. It's very friendly
and is right in the centre of the main shopping street. It offers: |

Ramseys Bar |

1 Burlington Road Attached
to the Buckingham Hotel (on St John's Road), Ramsey's is a pleasant bar
with a wide range of faclities: Being attached to a hotel, it's quite common to find hotel residents in the bar, so you can often find someone to chat to if you're on your own. There's also a good crowd of regulars. |

St Johns Road By
the traffic lights at Burbage, on the road out of Buxton to Leek and Macclesfield.
The pub has been altered very recently giving it a more open and airy
feel. You'll alaways be sure of a welcome here. |

the Market Place (opposite end to the Town Hall) the Swan is a traditional
English pub (apart from the tartan decor in the lounge) which has a very
friendly and "local" atmosphere. |
