| Introduction to the Buxton Web Site |
| Information about Buxton can be found in many guides and books, so I don't intend this site to repeat a lot of detail which can be found elsewhere. |
| So what does the Buxton site provide? |
|
Well, although not a native of Buxton I've lived here for
a number of years. Therefore I felt it would be good to let those who might
be visiting have a few snippets of the local history bit, but then include
information of a more practical nature - where to eat and drink, some reference
to local traders and facilities you won't find in many of the tourist guides.
The majority of the information is based on my own personal experience or that of my like minded colleague who assisted with much of the research I must stress that the opinions contained on this site are mine alone and are not intended to be a full and comprehensive list of all establishments of the type I may discuss. The information is merely one persons view of the people, premises and facilities visited over the years. |
|
You can directly influence the development of the site by : - telling any of the places you visit where you got their name - letting me have details of your experiences and recommendations (good or bad) - giving me your ideas for the site - what would you find beneficial? Only by getting your help will I be able to improve the nature of the information I provide, making it a more valuable source for the future. |
